Helen Sachs, a sophomore at Holland West Ottawa High in Michigan, discusses qualifying for both the Champs Sports Cross Country Championships and Nike Cross Nationals following her Division 1 state title and NXR Midwest Regional crown. Sachs, who finished 60th at NXN, decided not to race at Balboa Park in San Diego as a precautionary measure with her right foot in a walking boot. She was one of six female competitors to qualify for both NXN and the Champs Sports national final.
